Jake Skivington is a Managing Director leading the Sponsor Coverage effort at Clarus Capital. In this role, Jake is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the private equity community and sourcing new investment opportunities across sponsor-backed portfolio companies spanning various industries.
Previously, Jake served as a Managing Director in the Leveraged Finance group at Guggenheim Securities and was responsible for the origination, execution, and distribution of leveraged loans and high yield bonds for both sponsor and corporate clients.
Most recently, Jake led leveraged finance origination for the Financial Institutions, Industrials, and Power / Renewables sectors. Jake began his career working in the Leveraged Finance Origination group at Jefferies where he underwrote LBO and M&A financings for leading financial sponsor clients. Over his 12+ year career in investment banking, Jake helped clients raise $30+ billion of capital across the broadly syndicated and private credit markets.
Jake is a graduate of the University of Richmond and currently splits his time between New York City and Locust Valley, Long Island. In his free time, Jake enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors, including golf, tennis, and hikes with his dog Hudson, while also spending time in the city supporting the NY Rangers and Knicks and as an active member of the New York Athletic Club.
