Matt Worman heads the direct investment origination effort at Clarus Capital. In this role, Matt is responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships throughout the United States, working from the Cleveland, Ohio office. Matt leads a team of originators assisting in sourcing, structuring, and negotiating equipment finance transactions, most of whom he has known and worked with for many years.
Matt began his sales career with First National Capital followed by a successful tenure at Nations Equipment Finance, NewStar Equipment Finance, Radius Bank, and Utica Equipment Finance. Matt was thrilled at the prospect of working again with Steve O’Leary and other members of the Clarus team, especially with the opportunity to help hand-select the rest of the Originations team.
Matt is well known by peers for his hard work, honesty, perseverance, and integrity. He ensures his clients’ needs are always met in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining strong working relationships with teammates across the organization. Matt takes pride in originating realistic opportunities that offer a high degree of execution upside for his firm and a thoughtful, creative solution to his customers.
When not busy supporting his customers, Matt enjoys spending quality family time in the Cleveland area supporting all things Cleveland, especially his beloved Browns football. Matt and his wife, Dawn, reside on Cleveland’s east side and are proud parents of their teenage daughter and son.
